Vehicle In-Life Management

Keeping your business moving

When your fleet vehicles are off the road, whether for scheduled maintenance, repair, or an accident, it’s disruptive. At KINTO, we understand how important it is to get your fleet moving again as quickly as possible.

Our market-leading support services and dedicated, experienced team are here to ensure vehicles and drivers remain operational and mobile at all times.

Maintenance management

Fleet managers aren’t given the technical training to understand labour rates, repair costs, or whether the right parts are being fitted. As a result of this, many businesses that manage their fleet maintenance internally find themselves paying bills with little idea as to whether they are correct or fair. They therefore experience rising costs, over-running budgets, and an overwhelming amount of admin.

KINTO’s maintenance management service solves that problem instantly. With an impressive team of vehicle technicians and accredited mechanics, we ensure you’re paying the right prices for your fleet maintenance and provide the costs in one consolidated and itemised bill. If monthly payments suit you better, we’ll provide itemised monthly invoices.

By placing your vehicle maintenance in the hands of our team, you’ll be safe in the knowledge that qualified mechanics are overseeing every repair, including routine servicing and fast-fits. Our experts will not only be familiar with your vehicle's history, but they’ll also know what work should, or shouldn’t, be carried out, how long it should take, and how much it should cost. And our zero-tolerance approach means their approval is needed prior to any work being carried out.

Downtime management

Vehicle downtime is disruptive and costly, so keeping your fleet moving is our priority. That’s why we’re proud to say that the average time off-road for our customers was just 2.5 days in 2023. How do we achieve this? We use the Toyota Production System (TPS), a unique approach that enables us to provide market-leading fleet support.

What differentiates KINTO from other fleet managers is that we understand the difference between downtime reporting and downtime management. Our in-house downtime management team works closely with our technical and accident management teams. Their role is to proactively monitor all vehicles off-road (VOR), maintaining regular contact with garages so that each vehicle is repaired and reunited with its driver as quickly as possible. By addressing each downtime event individually, we’re able to track and chase every stage of the repair to actively reduce time off-road.

The basis of our downtime control system is to ensure that all key stages in the repair cycle are proactively managed, from the moment the vehicle is booked in to work completion and vehicle return.

This is achieved through a combination of efficient systems, proven processes, active dialogue, and tenacious chasing. Our repair management system sends repeated reminders to garages for repair updates, while our team monitors every VOR to establish repair time, remaining in close contact with our technical and accident teams to quickly resolve potential hold-ups.

Accident management

Our accident management team is based under the same roof as our downtime, technical, rental, and account management teams, enabling close collaboration and ongoing dialogue.

Within the team is our own IMI Accredited repairs specialist, who oversees all authorisation of work. Sitting within the in-house team, their 14 years' experience helps them save customers an additional 12%–14% by checking and challenging repair costs.

We also operate our own accident management system, built and provided to us by FMG but unique to KINTO and integrating Audatex Imaging.

By developing a bespoke version of FMG’s system, we've combined our expertise with theirs, resulting in a system specifically tailored for KINTO’s customers, driven by the power of the FMG network.
