KINTO wins 'Showing Care' Award
March 7th 2025
We are extremely proud to have been awarded the 'Showing Care’ Award at Severn Trent Water’s annual supplier awards last week!
With a focus on Severn Trent Water’s decarbonisation plans and achieving sustainability goals, receiving the Showing Care Award shows our commitment to fulfilling our promises in supporting their transition to an Electric fleet.
In 2024 we were awarded the contract to deliver 289 new electric vans to Severn Trent Water as they undertook a huge company-wide project to transform their fleet. Becoming a trusted partner of Severn Trent Water and working closely with our colleagues at Pinkstones and Toyota GB, we ensured that sustainability efforts were maximised, not just with a new powertrain for their fleet but by utilising our valued supply network to deliver additional sustainable solutions.
As part of the drive towards a greener vehicle fleet, we worked with our valued supplier Bri-Stor Systems to reduce environmental impact through vehicle branding. The new simplified design of the Severn Trent vehicles now incorporates a revolutionary vinyl – Metamark MDX - that is certified as carbon-neutral in its manufacturing, and comprises elements that for the first time, can be recycled.
KINTO also supported Severn Trent Water in training and educating their commercial vehicle drivers via a series of videos, guides & communications as they transitioned from traditional ICE to BEV vehicles throughout 2024.
We are extremely grateful to Severn Trent for honouring us at their annual Supplier Awards and look forward to continuing our partnership with them into the future.
